Backup and moving to a new phone

Your log lives on your phone, so keeping a copy is your job. Here is how, and what to expect on a new phone.

Export your log

Open Settings, scroll to Export and tap Export my data. Choose Everything, or Skip the private ones, which leaves out health, medication, mood, intimacy, substances and social entries. You are asked every time. Sayved writes a CSV file with one row per entry, including value, low, high and confidence for estimates, and opens your phone's share sheet. Save it somewhere you control or send it to yourself. Any spreadsheet opens it.

Be clear about what this is

The export is a readable copy of your record. At present Sayved does not have an import button, and no cloud backup of the log. So a CSV is the way to keep, read and print your data, but it does not rebuild the app's entries on a new phone. Photos and family profile structure are not part of the CSV either. If your record matters, export on a regular schedule.

Moving to a new phone

  • Subscription: install Sayved, sign in to the same Google account and tap Restore purchase on the Pro screen. See subscription help.
  • Log: the log stays on the old phone. Export from there first if you want a copy.
  • Trial: the trial clock belongs to the device code, which is new on a new install.

The device code

Settings, then Privacy, shows your Device code. It is random, belongs to the app install, and is not a backup key. Reinstalling creates a new one.
