1. Who we are

2. Accepting these terms

By installing or using Sayved you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

3. What Sayved is

Sayved is a personal record-keeping tool for things you say, photograph and type. It is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. It does not diagnose or treat anything. Talk to a qualified professional about your health, and in an emergency contact your local emergency services. See the medical disclaimer.

4. AI estimates

Calories, nutrients, categories and readings are automated estimates made by an AI model. They can be wrong. You can correct any of them, and you should. Do not base medical, dietary or medication-dosing decisions on them.

5. Your data lives on your device

Your log is stored on your phone, and we do not hold a copy (see the privacy policy). You are responsible for your device, its security and for keeping your own copies, for example by using Settings, then Export. Uninstalling the app, resetting or losing your phone, or a device failure can permanently erase your log. We cannot get it back, because we have no access to it.

6. No warranty, and data loss

Sayved is provided "as is" and "as available", without promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data, including loss caused by device failure, operating system changes, uninstalling, or an app update. We test updates carefully and will make reasonable efforts to help through support if something goes wrong, but we cannot guarantee recovery. We do not currently offer an automatic backup or sync service and make no promise that one will exist.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for anything connected with the app is limited to what you paid us in the previous 12 months. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, and nothing affects the consumer rights you have in your own country.

8. Subscriptions

Sayved Pro is sold and billed by Google Play, not by us. The free trial (14 days) and price (currently $2.99 a month) are shown by Google Play at purchase. The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it in Google Play. Refunds follow Google Play's policies. If you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. Everything you have logged remains readable on your phone. Manage or cancel any time in the Play subscription settings.

9. Fair use

AI processing has daily limits to keep the service sustainable for everyone. Please do not use the app in an automated or abusive way, reverse-engineer it, or try to get around the trial or subscription checks.

10. Family members and children

You may log information for people in your care. By doing so, you confirm that you are entitled to: you are the parent or guardian, or the person has agreed. Sayved is not directed at children using it themselves.

11. Your content

What you log is yours, and we claim no rights over it. When you send a capture or question for processing, you give us only the permission needed to process it and return the result.

12. Changes and availability

We may change, suspend or stop features or the service. The AI features depend on third-party providers and may change or become unavailable.

13. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will post the new version here with a new date. Continuing to use Sayved after that means you accept the change.

14. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Abu Dhabi will have jurisdiction, except that mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence still applies to you.
